“Alamaya”, 3D Animation Film from Shock3D! won Best Planning Award

Alamaya 3D Film from Shock3D

Here, I would like to congratulate the team from Shock3D! company which located in Taman Tun Dr Ismail because they have just won an award in a prestigious international competition related with cartoon and animation. The product of the company which won the Best Planning Award category during the 8th Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival Promotion Plan Competition is a 3D animation film with titled “Alamaya“. Three criterias that make them won the category is because of the originality, planning competence and commercial viability.  So, what is actually the storyline of Alamaya?

The film basic plot is about a boy named Jian who accidentally went to a fantasy world called Alamaya after he joins the pieces of magical box. Alamaya is a separate universe which is populated with many weird, fantastic and extraordinary creatures (creeepyyyy). There he met Dzul, a snaileon, who help Jian find the way to return back to his home. Both of them went through some great adventures and Jian learn to become courageous along the journey. Hmm..sounds a bit like “Alice in Wonderland” and  “Jumanji“ to me.

Alamaya team really make the Malaysians proud because they are the only foreign company won at the event. Other entries are from the international studios in France, Japan, Italy, China and the United States. According to Mr. Syed Hezri Syed Hisham, Shock3D! Business Development Director, that 3D film budget will cost around RM6 million. Well, bigger budget and RM2 million more than the “Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula” movie. I can’t wait to watch them when it is finish. Based on the wallpapers inside the Alamaya Official Website, the results are marvellous. The website design also is quite mesmerizing.
