Rich Ross, the Walt Disney Studios New Chairman replacing Dick Cook

The guy in the picture above who has the same goofy smile like Aliff Aziz is the new chairman of Walt Disney Studios. His name is Rich Ross and he replaced Dick Cook as the chairman. This news was announced by Robert A. Iger, the President and CEO of Disney. So, who is this Rich Ross guy?
From what I understand, previously Rich Ross was the President of Disney Channels Worldwide since April 2004. Among Walt Disney blockbuster movies during his time are High School Musical, Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie and Camp Rock. On the TV series, some of the hit and popular one are Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Prior to that bejore joining Disney in 1996, he was the strong-metal guy behind the FX Networks. He also got senior positions experience working with Nickelodeon. This guy must be very, very lucky and thousand times hardworking while climbing the corporate ladder. From what I read, he is a TV enthusiast. But at the same time, he got a very high soft skills on managing people and lead the company. This could be a motivation for those who is in art, design, comic and TV industry who wish one day they can lead a corporate company too. That’s going to be really though journey up there. Frankly speaking, since I’m not yet in the strategic management level, I reserve my further opinion here. Let’s see how Disney will sustain and improve its business under this new leadership.
