Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) & Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) Conference

This Friday, on 20th November 2009, there will be a special one-day conference at Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) in Cyberjaya. Actually, the conference is organized by SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators) Malaysia and sponsored by Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing. That is so generous of him to sponsor this event.
The event will start from 10.30 am until 5.30 pm. Some of the agendas are illustrators’ exhibition, book sales and a series of talks and panel discussions. For your info, SCBWI Malaysia is a non-profit organization (NGO) to develop local writers and local illustrators and to bring the writers, illustrators, publishers, booksellers, educators etc together so they can communicate and interact with each other for positive outcome and beneficial for each other. Hmm..some sort like a SIG (Special Interest Group) gathering, isn’t it? Sounds fun especially if you are an aspiring book writers or novelists. I hope those local comic writers and comic artists also can participate in this kind of event since children like (or LOVE) comics too. Plus, sponsored by Tan Sri maaaa….
