‘Aku Budak Minang’ Comic-Novel from Ujang soon a TV Drama Series

‘Aku Budak Minang’ (ABM) is a popular comic-novel from the most famous local cartoonist in Malaysia who is Ujang. He was such a hit when I was in the primary and secondary school, sometime around 1985 to 1995. His real name is Ibrahim Anon and his birthday is on 18-October-1965. One great thing that I know and salute about Ujang is he became a millionaire by the age of 30. Now, I’m not sure how much is his net worth.

The latest news that I heard is ABM will be a TV drama series that will be shown by RTM (Radio Televisyen Malaysia). The 13 episodes drama will be produced by Niscam Media Sdn. Bhd and CESB (Creative Enterprise Sdn. Bhd). The director of the series is Zulkifli M. Osman and Along Cham (his real name is Muhammad Nizamudin Ahmad) from Raja Lawak Musim ke-2 will play as Ujang. Aca, another glamour character from ABM will be played by Rosman Mohd Roslan. The location of the shooting will be in Kampung Tok Talang, Kuala Pilah. I really hope the team can still produce it with high quality so it also can become like a collectible DVD box-set since this Ujang’s work is really a masterpiece. The family conflict that Ujang try to show in ABM is really wonderful, emotional and sentimental.

   You re right.he is the living lagend.Gua rasa selepas Dato` Lat he became our next icon in cartoon industry.Even if I m not mistaken…tis sifoo also the first cartoonist who produce the first cartoon animated siries in Malaysia(search Wikipedia-usop sontorion).Salut ujang…keep up the good work bro.

   saya minat giler ngn aku budak minang..dulu2 sy slalu baca kisah ujang dan aca masa kecik..sampai sekarang saya masih mencari..mana nak dapat buku tu balik..sbb dulu2 pinjam kawan punye..apa kata buku tu dikeluarkan semula..mesti meletup punye…
