Berita Harian Online features Sireh, Cartoonist of Student Life & Life Journey

I just found an article in Berita Harian Online about one of Malaysia cartoonist with nickname Sireh. Born in 1972, Sireh real name is Anuar Hassan and he got that Sireh name from Ujang, a popular Malaysian cartoonist, when he just start working as a cartoonist. Sireh is very much popular with his signature cartoon series like Student Life and Life Journey.
Both of his Student Life and Life Journey works are published inside APO? magazine which is owned by MOY Publication. I remember reading it a long time ago while I study and collecting those APO? magazine. One of the inspiring story about this guy is that he finished his study first before fully venturing into cartoon world in order to fulfill his mother’s dream and wishes. He completed his design courses in ITM (Institut Teknologi Mara) and then further his studies at Wanganui Regional Polytechnic in New Zealand. I bet his Student Life cartoon is based on his experience while studying at those colleges. Now, beside cartooning he is also one of the lecturers at Creative Multimedia Faculty in one of the local private university. So, I think, he can be considered as a highly educated and academic cartoonist in Malaysia. That’s the way it should be, dude.
