IDW “World War Robot” Graphic Novel to Film by Jerry Bruckheimer
![]() |
It seems there will be a face-off in the robots world movie. Step aside Transformers, there’s a new guy in town. This time, Jerry Bruckheimer has gotten into the mega robots film thing by picking up the rights on the graphic novel “World War Robot” from IDW Publishing. Currently, IDW is the third largest comic publisher in the world behind Marvel and DC. Prior to this, one of IDW’s comic product which is “30 Days of Night” has being turned into a film by Sony in year 2007.
For your info, this graphic novel was written and drawn by artist Ashley Wood. It is about the war diary which was written by somebody involved in the battle between the humans and robots. Three main locations of the battles are Earth, Mars and the moon (our moon I think). Whewww..that’s quite a lot of locations to be covered. Hmm…can this film beat The Terminator? Or is it different genre? If you have already read the comic, please give some comments or review and your hope for the film. I wish the storyline will be much, much better than Michael Bay’s Transformers (the second one, ouch!!).
