Komik-M, the 100% Made In Malaysia Comic, from PTS Millennia

During the recent KLIBF (KL International Book Fair), I also visited the Komik-M booth. It was located just in front of the Dewan Kedah Johor where the PeKOMIKON and Anugerah PeKOMIK took place. For your info, Komik-M is a comic brand under one of PTS (a publishing company) subsidiary which is PTS Millennia Sdn Bhd. The tagline that they use is ‘Saluran Komik Anda’ but during this event they use the tagline ’100% Komik Buatan Malaysia’ (100% Made In Malaysia Comic). The objective of Komik-M or Komik Malaysia is to emphasize on producing the comics with Malaysian style or culture or has Malaysia elements.

Some criterias of Malaysia comic concepts under Komik-M are Martial Art, Military, Science Fiction, Action and Village style. Some of the popular titles under Komik-M brand are ‘Liga Pendekar’, ‘Kecemprengman’, ‘Hibrid’, ‘Twinx’, ‘Orang Kuat’, ‘Lili Lulu Lala’, ‘Langkamaya’ and many more. It’s good to know that our cartoonists could show malaysian’s cultures by their comics.. i want to publish my comics too, but komik-m website can’t be found, why is that?? Is there anywhere that i could post my comics?? anyways, best of luck from me.. ^_^
