Would You Pay US$1 Million for Each First Edition of Superman (1938) & Batman (1939) Comic?
How you can answer the question above? Well, for me, if I already got USD1 billion in my saving accounts, why not? I would rather pay it then having a sleepless night thinking about the comics and got that extraordinary pride for possessing that comics in my hand. Okay, since I don’t have that kind of money, let’s put my feet back on the ground. For the Superman comic, the 1938 edition of Action Comics No. 1 that featuring Superman character for the first time was sold for exactly USD$1 million (damn!!). It was sold by an anonymous private seller to the also anonymous private buyer. The transaction is conducted by the ComicConnect.com and I really think this will boost their website ranking and hits. The original price of it is just a mere 1o cents (damn again!!).

For the Batman comic, the 1939 Detective Comics #27 featuring Batman for the first time was sold for more than USD$1 million. To be specific, it was sold for a total of US$1, 075, 500. To add the wound to my jealousy, the original price of the Batman comic is also just a mere 1o cents (damn again and again and again!!).

So, now in the real world of ”Superman vs Batman“, it looks like Batman wins this time but with only a slight win. Who knows, maybe next time, Superman comics will be sold again at the price of USD$10 million, beating Batman straight to the ground. Splakkkkk!!! Dushhh!!! (Like the old Batman TV series “sound effect”).
