This coming Sunday, on 22nd March 2009, MMU (Multimedia University) will be having its Open Day 2009 in Cyberjaya campus. During this open day, you can have a feel or a first-hand view of MMU’s environment and facilities. During my time there from 1999 to 2001, there’s a lot of complaint about it. Hopefully, this time it will be a lot, lot better and up to the standard of World Class University image that they are trying very hard to project. Hmm..I might not be able to see Datuk Professor Dr. Ghauth Jasmon, the ex-President of MMU there since he is now the VC (Vice Chancellor) of UM (University Malaya). Except if he’s coming down for a visit and remember back his glorious time at MMU while sipping coffee at HB1 or HB4 cafe hehe For your info, this event will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm (quite short huh?) and the admission is free. Coooolll…

Some agendas or events that I might be interested are the Campus Tour Venues to the Graphics Lab at FIT (Faculty of Information Technology), Robot Demonstration Lab at FOE (Faculty of Engineering), E-Gallery at FCM (Faculty of Creative Multimedia) and also to Siti Hasmah Digital Library (my previous ‘Pusat Lepak’).

Besides, I also would like to listen to some of the seminars and talks by the speakers. Some of the topics that catch my attention are ‘Career Opportunities in IT‘ by Faras Zuheir Mustafa Mohamed, ‘Faculty of Management Programmes Overview‘ by Hazlina Abd Kadir and ‘Industry Oriented Education’ by Prof. Harold Thwaites. But among all, this is the one that I really, really need to go and listen which is ‘Industrial Orientation of Creative Multimedia’ by Dr. Neo Mai. I just want to know how the creative multimedia industry will survive in this global economic metldown and financial crisis…Wheeewwww….
