Owwhhh..How I wish I can describe why I’m so much excited about this new CG animated movie titled ‘Resident Evil: Degeneration’. This Resident Evil madness came to me after I played the ‘Resident Evil 2′ game a long time ago. This game really freaked me out that my mother said that my face looked pale-white like zombie while playing this game. Until now, I’m still a die-hard of fan of Resident Evil franchise except the live-action movie series produced in Hollywood. For me, they failed to capture the Resident Evil feeling, mood, spooky environment and fun of silent moment in the game. Anyway, I hope this coming CG animated movie will bring justice to the franchise.

The two main characters of the movie come from the ‘Resident Evil 2′ game. They are Leon S. Kennedy, the rookie cop from Raccoon City and Claire Redfield. The event of this movie takes place seven years after the Raccoon City has been destroyed during the missile attack ordered by the government to eliminate the zombie virus (well, the famous T-virus I assumed). Now, the virus is starting to appear back at an airport in United States where the zombie attack will begin there. Hmmm..the plot seems a little bittie bit like the movie ‘Flight Of The Dead’. I think the tagline for both  movies should be ‘Unleash Those Zombies Season’. Below are some of the screenshots that I took while watching its trailer at the movie’s Official Website.

For your info, the film is a co-production between CAPCOM and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan. It is produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi and directed by Makoto Kamiya. The movie will be opening in theatre starting from 18th October 2008 in Japan and I really hope that it will be coming to our cinema in Malaysia too.
