The latest news that I got is that the actor who played our beloved Rorschach in Watchmen film, Jackie Earle Haley will play as Freddy Krueger in the new relaunch of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” by New Line Cinema and Platinum Dunes. This iconic devil character is previously played by Robert Englund. And he really famous only with this character since 1984. Up till now, the “Nightmare” franchise already got nine movies and two television series. And it is really a money making  machine for New Line Cinema until the coming of the new era of “The Lord of the Rings” (mega money making machine = 4M).

Based on his outstanding performance as Rorschach or Walter Kovacs, I believe he is the most suitable person to take up the role and give a new definition to this children serial killer character. Damn it, I still remember my dream of being chased by Freddy Krueger when I was a 10-year-old kid. Welcome back Freddy…
