Another new Malay movie is coming this Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The film titled “Jin Notti” will be released on this 20th September 2009. Among the popular stars in this movie are the famous Akademi Fantasia idol, none other than Mawi, the popular Hot FM deejay, Fara Fauzana and lastly Cat Farish. I think by now you can see many posters and billboards about this movie at highway. Oh, one more, this film is directed by Azhari Zain with the budget of RM2 million. So, what is this film about?

This film is about a good-hearted genie named Notti (Fara Fauzana) who is accused for being too good by the genie judgment council. The punishment for her is that she will be sent to Earth and inhabit the bodies of three different women which are Ruby, a wild punk rocker, Y’vonne, a girlfriend of a gangster and lastly, Sharifah, a lawyer. Somesort like exorcist or “rasuk” I think. On Earth, Notti will be accompany by her lawyer, Jinbara (Cat Farish), to keep an eye on her. During her “visit”, Notti meets Aziz (Mawi), a human mortal and falls in love with him. Hmmm….this genie type storyline in Malaysia make me wonder if it will go through any excessive cut by the LPF.

This time, KRU Studios collaborate with TM (Telekom Malaysia) to promote this film. Here, TM will be offering exclusive media content from the film via Hypp.TV such as trailer, theme song, video clips etc. Besides, TM will also be bringing out limited edition iTalk prepaid cards with the images of the characters from the “Jin Notti” film. Quite a cool agreement, huh?
