‘Up’, the Latest Disney & Pixar CGI Animated Film in Digital 3-D

I just watched the trailer of ‘Up‘, the latest 3D CGI animated film from Disney & Pixar. At first I thought this might be a boring story since I don’t have any idea what is so exciting about a house floating in the middle of the air. Except, it just looks some kind of ‘Ripley’s Believe It or Not’. But after watching the trailer, then I got a sense that this might be a one-hell of adventure story. OK, so basically, it is about this old grumpy 78-year-old balloon salesman named Carl Fredricksen, who ties thousands of balloons to his house in order to fulfill his lifelong dream of a great adventure. You can imagine how many ridiculous balloons that he ties from the above picture. During this journey, he flies to the wilds of South Africa and when he is already up there, he just realizes that he unknowingly bring together his nightmare too: an overly optimistic and hyperactive 9-year-old Wildernerss Explorer named Russel. For your info, this film is directed by Pete Docter that directed ‘Monsters, Inc’. Hmm..this can sell. It will also be shown using the Disney Digital 3-D technology in some theaters when it is open on this May 29th, 2009.
