For those who grew up with the “Micronauts” toys or action figures, this must be an interesting news for you. Right now, J.J Abrams who is synonyms with “Alias”, “Lost” TV series and “Star Trek” movie is in talk to produce a film about this Micronauts toys which Hasbro just acquired. If that happens, perhaps the success story of Transformers will repeat. Frankly speaking, I’m not familar with this Micronauts stuffs.

For info, this Micronauts original name is Microman which was first released in 1974 in Japan. In 1976, Mego Corporation imported them to United States and cancelled the line in 1980. Later, a very much later in 2002, Palisades Toys bought the rights to reproduce Micronauts. Hmmm…sounds like a pathetic, loser and non-generating money action figures toys. As for the comic, it is published by Marvel Comics, Image Comics, and Devil’s Due Publishing. Their first comic, “Micronauts #1″, was published in January 1979 by Marvel. So, for those who still keep this comic, please keep it a little bit longer before you plan to auction it at eBay. I’m sure you’ll get a better price that time. Just a heads up, the photo you used of the “Micronauts action figures” are not what the toys looked like, but are a fan’s custom creation based on the comic book characters. Examples of the real toys can be seen here: http://www.innerspaceonline.com
