“The Karate Kid” New Movie with Jackie Chan & Jaden Smith
For those of you who still has the memory of the old movie titled “The Karate Kid” about a young teenager named Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio) who learnt Karate martial art from an old man named Mr. Miyagi (played by Pat Morita), you might want to watch this new remake of that movie. Below is the new trailer of the remake:
This time, the old man who taught the martial art is the famous Jackie Chan and the kid is Jaden Smith, the son of popular A-grade actor, Will Smith. If you can remember well, Jaden Smith also starred inside the film “The Pursuit of Happyness” with his father, Will Smith. Anyway, the thing that disturb me inside the trailer is that, it seems that the martial art used in this film is Kung Fu or Shaolin stuff, but why the heck is the title of the movie is still “The Karate Kid“? It should be “The Kung Fu Kid“, rite? The setting itself is clearly shown that the movie was shot in China and some parts show that Great Wall of China. This will really be an insult to the martial art world when this movie is released on 11th June, 2010. Or perhaps I’m wrong. Just wait and see… |
