Dolby Digital 3D Glasses Spectacles Experiences & Issues (with me)
![]() |
Okay guys, right now I’m having quite a dilemma. Let me takes a deep breathe first. Okayyyy..now this is it:-
“Should I watch Ice Age 3 in 3D or in normal 2D?”
Yeeeaahhh…maybe some of you might think I’m crazy. Of course the latest trend is wearing those 3D glasses or 3D spectacles and some of my friends really having great moment watching this new-style movie. But I have some really irritating issues and bad experience when I watched “Monsters Vs Aliens” movie sometime ago in 3D mode at TGV (Tanjong Golden Village), Sunway Pyramid. Along the movie, I put on the 3D glasses with Dolby Digital 3D cop on it. For your info, the 3D Spec rental is RM5. Total price per ticket is RM17 consists of Ticket Price = RM9.60, Entertainment Tax Duty = RM2.40 and 3D Spec Rental = RM5. Okay guys, back to the topic, do you know why I say it is a bad experience to me?
First and the top most of all the reasons is, the back of both my ears really feel itchy and in pain after 10 minutes into the movie. I feel like somebody put the knife at the back of my ears and I can’t stop feeling “Ayo-yo!” along the movie. My wife said that this is normal for somebody who don’t wear glassess and try using it for the first time. So, she told me to put on some cotton behind me ears next time. Is it because I have an ultra-thin piece of ear skin? But, I’m okay when I put on those black sunglasses while driving and never in pain although for a long time. Hmmm… Second thing is, since I seems to enjoy the 3D elements in the movie and concentrate to see the objects floating towards me and open my mouth due to awesome factor watching the “reachable” objects, I lose my focus on the storyline. Dammnn!! At last, I don’t remember how the villain got defeated in the end. Aaarggh.. The 3D elements stole the show from me huhu… Third issue is both my eyeballs feel very-very-very dizzy and tired. I can feel my eyes became watery. And sometimes, I can feel the dizziness at the center of my forehead, near the eyes. When I feel it, I immediately lose focus on the story and focusing how to lessen my pain and dizziness. Is it because of my high stress level? |

I’m quite sad and feel unlucky since I cannot entertain myself like other people when watching the great 3D film using the Digital 3D Dolby glasses. Do you got the solution for me to enjoy the 3D movie next time? Anybody can share your opinion and experience?

I watched 3D film at I-max once. However never got the itching issue.
Perhaps their 3d glass layout is different.
